Research Interests

Dr. Jafar’s major research interests are directed towards photophysics of semiconductors, in particular photocarrier recombination processes in highly excited crystals employing ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy. In addition my research is focused applying the 4D electron microscope, a combination of spatial and femtosecond temporal resolution, implemented to study the field of materials science.
